Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru - y Garreg Las

This year, we are celebrating the 850th anniversary of the first ever Eisteddfod held at Cardigan Castle in 1176.

The National Eisteddfod of Wales will visit the Garreg Las area between 01 and 08 August 2026.

Llantood in north Pembrokeshire will be the home of the festival, but the Garreg Las area covers south Ceredigion, west Carmarthenshire and the whole of Pembrokeshire.

This is a special song by primary school pupils in the Garreg Las area to welcome the National Eisteddfod. Search for Croeso i Fro’r Garreg Las' on all digital streaming platforms, and enjoy listening to the young voices of the area.

The Journey of Lord Rhys

A day of fun will be held in Cardigan on Saturday, 27 June, from 12pm onwards.

There will be an afternoon of music, poetry and fun at Cardigan Castle before welcoming a special puppet of Lord Rhys and his dog Teifi.

Find more information on the Facebook page, The Journey of Lord Rhys.
