Extreme Heat - Early start for Waste Collections.
Waste and recycling crews will begin their rounds at 6am to avoid the highest temperatures on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June 2026.
To ensure your collection is not missed, we kindly ask residents to present their waste the night before.
Glanyrafon Household Waste Site Closure – Sunday 28 June 2026
Due to the National Cycling Championships, there will be road closures and access restrictions affecting Glanyrafon Industrial Estate, meaning the site will not be accessible.
As a result, Glanyrafon Household Waste Site will be closed on Sunday 28 June 2026. Please plan ahead if you need to visit.
All other sites will remain open as normal, in line with their usual opening hours.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.
Ceredigion County Council provides regular collections of household waste from all domestic properties in Ceredigion.
Presentation and collection of domestic waste
- All waste should be presented on the morning of collection prior to 8am
- If you are new to the area please contact us for a recycling pack

The waste collection service is usually provided between 8am and 4pm, however there may be occasions where we work outside these hours. Please therefore do not report a missed bin until the day after your scheduled collection. Thank you.
Infectious diseases - related waste
Place all personal waste, such as used tissues, disposable cleaning cloths, disposable face coverings, disposable gloves and any other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the non-recyclable waste (“black bag”). Double bag all your non-recyclable waste (“black bags”).
