Residents reminded of waste collection changes ahead of May bank holidays

With the May bank holidays approaching, Ceredigion County Council will change the collection day for people who usually have their waste collected on Mondays.

This is to try to ensure that the waste service continues effectively during the Bank Holiday period.

During the May Bank Holidays, we will endeavour to provide waste collections as follows:

Usual collection day

Collecting on

Monday, 05 May 2025

moves to

Saturday, 03 May 2025

Monday, 26 May 2025

moves to

Saturday, 24 May 2025

Residents are asked to share this information as widely as possible with neighbours, family, friends, and communities across Ceredigion who may be affected. It is intended to provide updates to the service noted above on the Council’s website here: www.ceredigion.gov.uk/wastecollectionupdates during the week leading up to the bank holiday.

Councillor Shelley Childs, Ceredigion's Cabinet Member for Highways and Environmental Services, said: We continually review our approach to the delivery of our services with a view of providing the best possible level of service to the public with the resources that are available to us. We will be making efforts to share the information as widely as possible and, as always as part of Caru Ceredigion, would like to sincerely thank the public for their ongoing understanding and support.”
